CJ Jeep: Sporty Apperance For The First Time Around

Jeep was basically a redesigned reintroduction of a two door body style vehicle, with a single fixed rear side window with an optional flip-out section. Just in this generation, a two door version had been available in the Jeep Wagoneer line , though this had the same pillar and window configuration as the four-door Wagoneer possessed. From the concept of the the Wagoneer, the Cherokee XJ was marketed as the "sporty" two-door variant of Jeep's station wagon do in the auto industry. The term "Sporty" appears for the first time in the 1974 Cherokee sales brochure. A four-door was not added to the lineup until 1977 came and some improvements took place on the vehicles.

Apart from the changes in the trims, these vehicles received larger fenders and wider axles, allowing larger tires to be fitted to further improve off-road ability as well as the performance. Four-door models were not available with "wide-track" axles however. 

Cherokees were actually briefly assembled in Brisbane, Australia from 80s up to the recent generation, although their heavy fuel consumption and high cost in comparison with Japanese four-wheel drive vehicles made them uncompetitive in that market. Cadillac Converj: The First Ever ELR Electric Car Based

Green Cars have been talk of mouths in the auto industry these days .However Reports broke the that General Motors had decided to produce a version of its Cadillac Converj concept. Here is the overview of the said vehicle.  At the 2009 Detroit auto show where it was unveiled, the Converj was called an “extended-range electric vehicle” — the same description G.M. applied to the Chevrolet Volt plug-in hybrid. The volt was actually the counterpart of the leaf which definitely produces sales for the General Motors.

In line with this ths sytem has been used for the cadillac converj. The vehicle would be the first G.M. production vehicle to use one of his company’s battery packs. He described the coming unit for G.M. as “a large energy pack, bigger than the 16-kilowatt-hour battery in the Volt.Exclusively to Wheels, however, a G.M. spokesman, Rob Peterson, confirmed in an e-mail that while the Converj was at least under consideration, batteries from the company’s new supplier were destined for other projects.

According to Mr. Forcier, the new pack will be ready for production by the end of 2012.Volt-based crossover MPV5 concept at the Beijing auto show in 2010. That would fall neatly into a strategy announced by Daniel F. Akerson, the company’s chairman and chief executive, to whittle its number of vehicle platforms as a means of cutting the production.

A Spark Of The Brand New Year

Just recently Chevrolet has showed an especially sporty version of the Spark, which was present a year ago as a concept at the 2010 Detroit auto show in United States, though with the Chevrolet Aveo replacement (the 2012 Chevrolet Sonic) was still ongoing due to move to a more upscale, sporty position for 2012 it's likely the production 2013 Spark will be a more basic commuter device to generate a massive amount of sales. Chevrolet Spark was formerly introduced as the Chevrolet Beat Concept at the New York Auto Show in 2007. The full production form of the Chevrolet Spark will be shown in March 2009 at the Geneva Auto Show. But despite its looks, no trees were harmed in the creation of this car, with the body being covered in a vinyl wrap – like a huge sticker – to give the effect. Period whitewall tyres complete the look. Europe will get the first glimpse of its sales in 2010.
While most of the Beat’s concept was adapted, the implementation of larger windows is the most notable change. The fog lamps, headlights, and grille have been changed; the front has been altered to appear less sporty; and the Spark also looks as if it has been raised higher off the ground.  
A powertrain has a list showing how the auto maker confirms several new engines for the U.S.: a 1.0-liter, iron-block DOHC four-cylinder, as well as a 1.2-liter DOHC four. It's unlikely that either of these engines will feature gasoline direct injection. The Chevrolet Spark has been built to celebrating Chevy’s American roots, and has built this one-off for the annual Boardmasters surf, skate and music festival in Newquay.

BMW 1 Series Coupe

Personally I admired the new design of  1-series coupe by BMW. I have test driven a 3-series myself and I was flattered because it does not deserve a thumbs up. However there is just something about the 1-series coupe that can’t be found on other BMW models out there. Actually just last week BMW officially announced the 2012 BMW 1-series, which has became the talk of mouth in the auto industry. The main features is actually the 135i which showcases the newest N55 engine which is also a 3.0-liter inline-6 engine. Personally I can say it’s eco-friendly since it uses diesel gasoline and has low mileage. Besides,The 135i can be equipped with the 7-speed double clutch transmission (DCT) which we’ve seen before on the new Z4 roadster and other BMW models.
To date there are only two versions available in the market with this update, the 128i Coupe and the 135i Coupe. The 128i is powered by a 3.0-liter engine producing 230 bhp and and could run on its standard speed limit. It features the BMW Valvetronic throttle-less intake technology and an aluminium/magnesium construction which are some of the core elements of the BMW EfficientDynamics program. Apart from the excellent features, no one can deny that the maintenance of this model is quite easier compared to other car brands. Chevy Spark – A Sparkling Piece
