It's critical to ensure your XK8 cooling system parts are in tip top order for piece of mind. Worse case severe overheating scenarios are; blown head gaskets, damaged cylinder heads and potentially a deterioration in engine lubrication quality. The latter can then affect the longevity of crankshaft bearings and the general life of the XK8 engine. Relating to the water pump, this manifests itself in the disintegration / breaking up of the plastic impellor within the water pump. This then leads to reduced coolant flow, localized heating and the worst case problems mentioned above. Indicative signs of a cooling problem on the XK8 engine are the cooling fans staying on for long periods regardless of temperature and / or one of the top hoses blowing off.
Before going to the effort of removing / replacing the water pump, with a cold engine, take the filler cap off the expansion tank and then ask someone to run the engine for you at 1200 rpm. Should the pump be working correctly, water should be circulating / swirling well in the tank. If there is a problem, then there will be very little swirl and therefore indicative of a problem with the water pump. If you are going to the effort of checking it then it's worth replacing with the latest XK8 parts including water pump and other cooling system parts. 2003 cars also suffered from breakdown of other plastic cooling system parts.
These relate to the thermostat housing rising out of the block and the bridge pipe linking the cylinder heads on naturally aspirated cars (the XKR has an alloy pipe). The thermostat housings are now available in alloy and we hope that the bridge pipe will follow. The Jaguar Part number for the water pump is - AJ8008912 and all later water pumps supersede to this part number.

SAAB Forces Shut Down This Year
Several years ago, Saab Automobile had filed for bankruptcy and though they will no longer stay on business, marking the end of more than 60 years. After the filing of the bankrupcy report, the Swedish automaker’s owners had already surrendered their assets to the judicial court.Of course Saab fans might figure out and see GM as the major competitor and the villain in this corporate drama and is now reaching the peak of success to the automotive industry. There have been also rumor that the company has forced and paid the said auto maker to get out of the industry and merge their assets to them.
The name of Saab's last concept was not launched to the market due to the said issue and that is the renowned Phoenix which was shown off at the 2011 Geneva auto show, a final bid by the company to show it could rise from nowher. Its turbocharged 2.8-liter engine made 300 horsepower and cabin technology was built around a hard drive-based navigation system.The company, founded in 1947 and owned by GM since 2000, was due to be shut down in 2009 as GM consolidated its brands.Victor Muller, former CEO of Spyker Cars, threw Saab a lifeline, taking over the company and attempting to arrange financing. Most recently, Chinese automaker Youngman Automobile Group was set to purchase Saab. But GM, which still owns Saab technology licenses, spiked the deal by refusing to extend the licensing to Young man.

Is Hummer Losing Its Performance?
Just recently, the auto maker General Motors has announced the recall of so far more than 20,000 vehicles due to the piece of hood that shakes every time the machine starts the engine. On the public point, this is just a discrepancy on the auto maker’s side but on my own point of view but to sound offensive, the performance and the reputation of Hummer was being affected. On the other hand, there are several things they should consider in order to come up with pleasant results in terms of sales.
Personally, I started experiencing weird things about my H3 when the vehicle reached the 30k miles after I bought it. I was going home from the vacation when I observed the hood is shaking at 60kph. I thought It was just a normal case when suddenly, the said thing continue to happen. As I read this article, I was convinced that there is a recall direct from the auto maker so I was the first one to go back and ask for the recall. I was hoping everything would be under control or else I got to get my refund of having those vehicles and would provide another one. But I just want to hope that the problem would be fixed so as for the hummer to boost not just the sales but the image to the public. Good thing now, they are dealing with replacement parts which therefore made the repair job easier than before and with the engagement of repair manuals, customers would surely be glad.

CJ Jeep: Sporty Apperance For The First Time Around
Jeep was basically a redesigned reintroduction of a two door body style vehicle, with a single fixed rear side window with an optional flip-out section. Just in this generation, a two door version had been available in the Jeep Wagoneer line , though this had the same pillar and window configuration as the four-door Wagoneer possessed. From the concept of the the Wagoneer, the Cherokee XJ was marketed as the "sporty" two-door variant of Jeep's station wagon do in the auto industry. The term "Sporty" appears for the first time in the 1974 Cherokee sales brochure. A four-door was not added to the lineup until 1977 came and some improvements took place on the vehicles.
Apart from the changes in the trims, these vehicles received larger fenders and wider axles, allowing larger tires to be fitted to further improve off-road ability as well as the performance. Four-door models were not available with "wide-track" axles however.
Cherokees were actually briefly assembled in Brisbane, Australia from 80s up to the recent generation, although their heavy fuel consumption and high cost in comparison with Japanese four-wheel drive vehicles made them uncompetitive in that market. When it comes to maintenance owners need not to worry since there are a lot of places where they can search for stuff. These days, even rare parts were available and can be easily accessed in the presence of the internet. These stuff include bumper covers, grilles, alternator and other jeep parts. Cadillac Converj: The First Ever ELR Electric Car Based
Green Cars have been talk of mouths in the auto industry these days .However Reports broke the that General Motors had decided to produce a version of its Cadillac Converj concept. Here is the overview of the said vehicle. At the 2009 Detroit auto show where it was unveiled, the Converj was called an “extended-range electric vehicle” — the same description G.M. applied to the Chevrolet Volt plug-in hybrid. The volt was actually the counterpart of the leaf which definitely produces sales for the General Motors.
